Nicole Zabriskie is Emerald City Stylist

As a young girl growing up in the Midwest, Nicole devoured any fashion magazine she could get her hands on, and dreamed of someday working in the fashion industry.

She moved to New York City following her graduation from the University of Missouri and spent 17 years honing her own personal style while working for many of the biggest names in fashion.  She began her career working for Ralph Lauren, where she discovered her passion for the creative side of the fashion industry. She started in the Design and Product Development Department designing accessories for the brand and from there, moved into a role in Visual Merchandising. After 5 years with Ralph Lauren, she decided to take on a new challenge as the National Retail Coordinator with Dolce & Gabbana, training staff all over the US and Canada on product knowledge, styling, and visual merchandising techniques. During her travels, she met Brazilian couture designer, Carlos Miele, at a fashion show they were both participating in. They kept in touch, and soon she began working with him as his International Brand Manager. She traveled to Paris and Brazil to oversee design concepts, brand launches, and international showrooms.

When that journey ended, she joined Diesel as the Creative Visual Director. In this role, she oversaw the creative vision for corporate events, 9 company showrooms, and the retail/wholesale channels, as well as managing a team of Visual Merchandisers located throughout the US.  She then went on to join the Visual Merchandising team at Michael Kors, helping to open over 65 stores domestically and abroad. Her team also worked with Michael directly to determine the seasonal window designs and monthly mannequin styles. Following that role, she worked for retail consulting firm, Winston Retail Solutions, utilizing all of her brand experience and knowledge as the Creative Account Manager working with clients such as Under ArmourCalvin Klein, Rachel Zoe, and many more.

After getting married and having her first daughter, she wanted a career that involved less travel and more flexibility, so utilizing all of the relationships she built throughout her career, she began styling photo shoots as a freelancer.  While freelancing, she has worked with many luxury brands including Prada, Miu Miu, Lanvin, and Alexander McQueen. She is currently a contributing Fashion writer for HERLIFE magazine.

She moved to Seattle in 2016 so that her 2 daughters, Campbell and Zoe, could grow up closer to nature and extended family since her husband, Nick, is from Seattle.  As a family, they love exploring all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. She is a committed Francophile and still enjoys reading any magazine she can get her hands on.
